Artist Statement:
My artwork is fundamentally about finding interesting images in pop culture. I like to change ordinary images into objects that will make people think, disregarding its negative or positive connotation. I try to let people decide for themselves what to think of an image- it can be taken as deep as the viewer wants to. My search for excitement is often expressed in the inane details of everyday life and objects. Graffiti, wall tags, video games, guns, anger and violence tend to characterize my work. In this, many of these objects tend to be represented negatively in society; however each of them also has their positive sides. The efforts and observations to fend off my boredom I’ve found the special in ordinary day- to-day life.
