Important Notice from Turnitin

All Turnitin services (Originality Checking, GradeMark and Peer Review) will be UNAVAILABLE during the following maintenance windows:

• Saturday, July 11th 2009 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME (3:00 pm July 11th to 3:00 am July 12th GMT), and

• Saturday, August 8th 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 am CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME (3:00 pm August 8th to 7:00 am August 9th GMT).

As of May 26th, 2009 our system now prevents instructors from setting new assignment due dates in either of these two windows (or the equivalent local date and time). Assignments set up before this date may need to have their due dates adjusted to accommodate these downtimes (see directions on how to change assignment dates at http://www.turnitin.com/static/knowledge_base/modifying_assignment_dates_newtii.html).

A message will appear to instructors and students in their Turnitin accounts informing them of these maintenance windows. The message will appear a month before each of the maintenance windows occurs.

We apologize for any inconvenience these maintenance windows may cause you, your instructors, or your students.

Sincerely,

The Turnitin Staff

CELT Technology Event - Friday March 27

Celtevent1 Have you always wondered what you really look like and sound like in front of the classroom? Do you want to be able to video your students’ presentations? Are there some great podcasts that you would like to share with your students? Do you simply want to know how to operate the ipod, mp3 player, and/or video camera that you recently acquired?

Bring your video and mp3/ipod (and questions) to the Library Classroom on Friday, March 27 between 11 AM and 1 PM. Donna Teel and her Computer Graphics Design students will be available for one-on-one help. If you don’t have a video camera or mp3 player, that’s okay. The CELT has a video camera and mp3 player that faculty can check out. Donna and her students will have additional equipment as well.

This is a come-and-go event. Come and find out how our students are using technology. Bring your lunch and drink and CELT will provide chips and dessert.

See you on Friday, March 27 between 11 AM and 1 PM in the Library Classroom.  Celtevent2
